Sportive Rules

Event Rules

The event will be run under the British Cycling Cyclo Sportive Rules.

Please note - in accordance with British Cycling sportive rules the wearing of a cycling helmet conforming to CE standards EN1078 is mandatory for all riders taking part in the event.

Minimum ages to ride are as follows

Mawr, Canol and Bach - 13 yrs. There is no minimum age for the Teulu.

All participants under the age of 18 must submit a consent form completed by their parent/guardian. Parental consent forms are available for download from the British Cycling website here. Riders under the age of 16 must also be accompanied by a parent or guardian. It is at the organisers’ discretion to set the minimum age of the riders permitted to take part.

Littering

Our policy on littering can be found here.  Any irresponsible dropping of litter along the route will result in disqualification.

Cut Off Times 

There will be strict cut off times along the route. Mawr riders must arrive at the 28 mile point (Mawr/Canol split), before 9:45am. After this time they will be directed on to the Canol Route. Similarly, Canol riders must arive at the 25 miles point (Canol/Bach split), before 11:15am. Any Canol riders arriving after this time will be directed on to the Bach route. Please respect these times in the interest of safety, thankyou. Finally, chip timing will stop at 5pm.

Declaration 
I declare that I will abide by the governing bodies rules and that I am fit to take part in the event. I will not hold the event organiser responsible for any injury or loss. I understand that the final decision as to whether or not the event will go ahead on the day is that of the organisers “Always Aim High Events Ltd".

All Youth Cyclists must submit a British Cycling Parental Consent form to Always Aim High Events before participating in the race. Ideally, within 14 days of registering.
