Welcome to the stunning Cardiff Triathlon - the race is going from strength to strength and 2020 is expected to be the biggest ever.
Located in the iconic Cardiff Bay, this triathlon is one of the most unforgettable city races on the calendar! You'll be part of an elite group who have swum in the world famous bay, this is followed by a fantastic, fast cycle route along completely closed roads. The triathlon is rounded off with a spectacular run along the Cardiff Bay barrage. The event village and transition (one of the most beautiful and striking in the sport) will be held on Roald Dahl Plass in front of the Wales Millennium Centre.
With Olympic, Sprint, & Super Sprint Triathlons plus brand new for 2020 Sprint Duathlon. There really is something for every ability at the Cardiff Triathlon, it has even been rated as one of the UK's best Beginner Triathlons by 220 Tri Magazine!
At the 2020 Cardiff Triathlon we are incredibly proud to host the British Age Group Sprint Distance Triathlon Championships (Draft Legal) which is also an Age Group ITU Qualifier (Draft Legal)
This is your chance to prove yourself in the shadow of the Wales Millennium Centre and claim a place on the start line for the 2021 ITU Sprint Distance Triathlon World Championship in Bermuda. This race entry is open to all British Triathlon Members. You will need to have a valid membership by 5pm, three working days before (Wednesday 24 June). To be eligible for qualification, athletes must have registered their intent to qualify with British Triathlon by 5pm on the Friday before (Friday 26 June).
Signing up the Cardiff Triathlon is your ticket to compete in one of the UK's finest city triathlons. Not only should you expect a completely closed road route and coverage that is beamed across the world, but you should also expect a race that you want to share with everyone - in 2019, 94% of participants said they would recommend the Cardiff Triathlon to a friend or family member!
